Circus For All Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games Festival
See amazing aerial feats, jaw-dropping acrobatics and joyful circus performance – then have a go yourself, completely free. That’s Circus For All.
We KNOW you can do it, regardless of whether you’ve tried anything like it before! Why? Because Aerial Edge, Glasgow’s Circus School, already has students aged from one year old to people in their 60s and 70s!
Just think of the awesome upside-down photos you’ll have of yourself.
What happens in Circus For All?
Created for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, Circus For All is a series of pop-up events at Glasgow’s shopping centres (see dates below). These lead into to a thrilling, up-close live show at our school on Saturday 25th July, where we have professional staging for performers. After the show, you can take 30-minute lessons with the performers, and the Aerial Edge team of instructors. And there are sponsored places available for a series of full-length 90-minute classes if you’re interested in taking your training further.
Circus For All celebrates community spirit, exciting non-competitive physical movement, and the spirit of gathering together through circus. We invite you to surprise yourself by what you can do in the air, with the help of our encouraging, professional instructors.
After the show, the taster sessions include trapeze, hoop and silks, plus acrobatics, and flow arts like hula hoop, plate spinning or juggling. And, of course, our most popular class, flying trapeze.
The inherently playful nature of circus means that you barely notice how it builds confidence, fitness, creativity and friendship as you have fun on the apparatus. Circus For All is all about making those benefits accessible to everybody.
How to book the show and 30min taster classes
You can book tickets for the live show here
The box office will show the prices for the tickets - this will change to zero when you enter the code from the leaflets given out at the shopping centre pop-up Circus For All events.
Aerial Edge Circus School is a not-for-profit organisation so there’s a standard option for making a donation on our box office, because we always make everything as low-priced as we can, which usually means we don’t cover all our costs. You can change the donation to any amount, including zero.
How to book the 30min taster classes
Simply click this link to go to our booking system, called TeamUp. We have set up a special membership for this event – don’t worry, you’re not signing up to anything beyond this event. Membership is just the word that TeamUp uses for this kind of thing.
Again, the system will show the cost of the membership, but you can use the code on the leaflet from the shopping centre and the cost will go to zero at checkout.
Simply fill in the registration details then go to the schedule on TeamUp – there’s a tab at the very top of the page saying ‘Schedule’. Scroll down to Saturday 25th July. You’ll see the 30-min taster classes listed.
Then you click on each class that you want to try, and book yourself in.
