Professional Development Programme

If you’ve already got some circus skills and you want to develop as a creator and a performer, this is the route. You might not have a finished act yet, you might want to sharpen your technique and your performance, or you might want a bridge towards a degree or a performing career.

It’s also for you if you’ve done our Foundation Course or a Four-Week Intensive and you want to go deeper into your own solo work.

You ride the full Foundation Course journey, sharing the ensemble show, then carry on for two more months focused entirely on your solo act. You’ll work on choreography, character, stagecraft and performing for camera, and you’ll leave with a professional showreel filmed by our cinematographer Gabriel Stella.

Four-Month Foundation Course in Circus Arts

This is like no other Foundation Course. Our unique approach means you can gain solid skills in a broad range of arts, and life skills along the way

Plus you get an amazing show reel, filmed by our cinematographer Gabriel Stella! Use it with applications for courses, funding or work.

You’ll create a solo act and work with a professional Director to perform in an ensemble show.

Four-Week Circus Intensive Courses

Like the Foundation Course, this gives you a broad range of circus disciplines. You can create a solo act and perform it if you choose.

It’s a great way to discover if full-time training is for you. It’s also good if you can’t commit to a whole four months, but you could free up four weeks of your life to dedicate yourself to circus and see where that takes you.

Warning: People sometimes can’t bear to leave so they stay on to finish the Foundation Course!

Pro-Track Training

This programme is a selection of classes and self-training sessions from our daytime and evening schedules, curated specially for you.

It’s particularly suitable if you’re a circus professional, you want to become one, or you want to train like a pro.

We discuss your aims to understand what you need to learn and develop. Then we check your availability against our schedule, and your budget.

Easter Edge Circus Festival

This is a fantastic four full days giving you 24 hours of progress-driven training with the Aerial Edge team and specialist guest instructors.

You choose four arts to focus on over the four days. Each pathway has a 90-minute session in that art every day, for four days.

People make appreciable improvements because everyone is moving together through the experience, and some arts improve technique in others.
